The Sydney campus of the Central Queensland University (CQU) is located at Kent Street Sydney, within a 10 storey building. The campus contains education, office, retail and carparking uses. HENDRY, on behalf of CQU, recently carried out a comprehensive Building Audit/ Due Diligence inspection and report on the building to determine the necessary prioritised building upgrade works to achieve Building Code of Australia compliance.
Karrinyup Lakes Lifestyle Retirement Village,

KLRV commissioned HENDRY to undertake Building Code of Australia compliance audits on a significant number of their units located at their Gwelup site. This commission involved liaising with the relevant local government, undertaking site inspections of existing building construction and submitting appropriate reports to the client for their consideration featuring the assessed level of Building Code compliance.
Caboolture Shire Council QLD
Caboolture Shire Council engaged HENDRY to undertake a number of condition and Building Code of Australia audits on their Council owned buildings. These building audits included aquatic centres and administration buildings. HENDRY aided the council in providing a maintenance schedule and budget report for capital and maintenance expenses over a 10 year period.
Former Beechworth Hospital VIC
HENDRY was engaged by the Department of Treasury and
finance to provide a regulatory review and services audit of the
site known as the Former Beechworth Hospital as the State
government intended to dispose of the site and change the land from
hospital purposes to general Crown land. The site comprised some 20
buildings including the hospital buildings, boiler house, kitchen/
cafeteria building, engineering building, pharmacy, chapel and
mortuary. The audit also included built environment risks,
essential safety measures maintenance assessment and accessibility
assessment including DDA and Building Code of Australia.
Cardiff, Newcastle NSW
HENDRY Building Surveying Consultants
assisted a potential purchaser, the building tenant Stramit
Building Products, by undertaking a comprehensive Building Code of Australia Compliance
and Condition Audit inspection of an existing single storey factory
and office building utilised for the production of cold form sheet
steel. The audit inspection and reporting process identified BCA
fire safety compliance matters such as an excessive volume
compartmentation size, inadequate coverage provided by the hydrant
system and deficient emergency lighting and exit signs.
Hunter Valley Hotels NSW
The
Cessnock Hotel, Bellbird Hotel, Queen's Arms Hotel, Currency Lass
Hotel and the Kurri Kurri Hotel (pictured) are typical 2 to 3
storey historic hotels at the Hunter Valley NSW. HENDRY Building
Surveying Consultants assisted a potential purchaser by undertaking
BCA Compliance Audit inspections and reporting regarding fire
safety matters. The reports identified Building Code of Australia fire safety
compliance matters and recommended upgrade solutions to assist the
client's decision making process.
