Bell Centre - Preston VIC
Set
amongst beautiful resort styled landscape with a location only 20
minutes from the Melbourne CBD and 15 minutes from Melbourne's
international airport, the Bell Centre comprises student and
backpacker accommodation, 4 Star Deluxe Hotel, conference centre,
restaurant and bar, swimming pool and gymnasium. The centre was the
result of alterations and additions to the old PANCH Hospital
nurse's quarters and doctors suits. HENDRY were the consultant
building surveyors providing building permits, professional and
expert advice for the performance based buildings under the Building Code of Australia, essential
safety measures schedules and occupancy permits.

Karrinyup Lakes Lifestyle Retirement Village, WA
KLRV commissioned HENDRY to undertake Building Code of Australia compliance
audits on a significant number of their units located at their
Gwelup site.
This commission involved liaising with the relevant local government, undertaking site inspections of existing building construction and submitting appropriate reports to the client for their consideration featuring the assessed level of Building Code compliance.
Campus Living - Kelvin Grove Student Accommodation, QLD
Engaged at the concept design stage in 2005, HENDRY
was commissioned to provide regulatory compliance checks at each
stage of design and assist the client in identifying major
compliance and design issues. With the design being a mixed use of
commercial and residential units for student accommodation and
located on a sloped site there were many complex issues that
required a practical approach. HENDRY aided the design consultant
in authority coordination, identifying any performance assessment
issues along with involvement in the fire engineering process, and
the smooth transition from design stage into the construction stage
by issuing staged building approvals. Continual advice occurred
through to Certificate of Classification.
Prince Henry at Little Bay, NSW
A redevelopment of Sydney's former Prince Henry
Hospital site includes a mix of low and medium density housing
ranging from single dwellings to new multi-storey residential
buildings and the conversion of some former hospital buildings.
HENDRY has been assisting Stockland with Building Code of Australia consultancy
services during the concept design and design development phases
for various residential projects. These projects have included:
Conversion of the former pathology heritage building, the former
ward and office buildings, the former Matron Dickson nurses
'Hostel' building to apartments and new residential buildings.
Edgewood Estate Woonona NSW
A
redevelopment of a 40 hectare site, Edgewood Estate is an award
winning residential estate in the northern Wollongong suburb of
Woonona. The estate includes a mix of low and medium density
housing ranging from single dwellings to new multi-storey
residential apartment buildings and seniors living residences.
HENDRY Building surveying Consultants assisted The Village Building
Company and its team with Building Code of Australia consultancy
services during the concept design and design development phases
for 3 of the Estate's proposed new residential apartment
buildings.
