| Emergency Plan: Fire and Evacuation Diagrams

| NSW – Emergency Plan advises that under Occupational Safety and Health Act 2000, and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation 2001, an employer must ensure that, emergency response procedures are in place in the event of an emergency such as a fire at any place of work at which the employer’s undertaking is conducted. Arrangements must have been made for the safe and rapid evacuation of persons from the place of work, compliance with AS 3745-2010 Planning for emergencies in facilities substantially meets this obligation.

| National Work Health and Safety Laws
|
| AUST – Work Place Safety Assessors advise that research of various Government websites has revealed that South Australia passed the WHS Act on 1 November 2012 and became the sixth jurisdiction to adopt the harmonised WHS laws. This brings SA in line with Queensland, NSW, NT, ACT and the Commonwealth jurisdictions where the new laws have already been implemented. Tasmania implemented the new laws on 1 January 2013 along with South Australia.
